It is peculiar to see this specification being created beneath the Mastodon organization on Github. But it makes the point I make in my blog announcement and the article itself.
It's all app-centric. What happens with FASP''s in fediverse-we-have will be entirely up to individual app developers' whims.
The same concern that L. Rhodes expressed will be front and center to the Prosocial web that made the transition to service-orientation. But at least there it will become a primary concern that must be tackled on protocol level and the way in which solution development is done.
The interesting aspect of the paradigm shift is in how business domains become the focus, not application domains, and requirements that are elicited for solutions designs will be wholly different than for app features.
